Did you hear us on The Weekly Dish this morning?

We delivered the scoop on all the latest in Maui's small business, arts and music scenes, including Kihei Fourth Friday, Maui Makahiki 2014, Maui Pops Orchestra's holiday show and upcoming shows at Three's Bar and Grill such as JIMI HENDRIX 72nd Birthday! Nov 29th! Electric Experience Maui and Hell Caminos 10 Year Anniversary MAUI! on Dec. 27.

We serve a variety pack, that's no doubt!

One of the best things about doing our talk radio show, is sharing good times with inspirational youth like Kian and Kaya here from the Kihei Swim Club.

Maybe one day I'll do a kids only radio show. They're more interesting than most of us, and have such courage.

Grateful for what I do.

Enjoy,

Gooooooooooooooood morning!

The Weekly Dish radio show is ready to serve you this beautiful Aloha Friday.

Maui's finest music man Louis Kanoa Kukaua visited us in the studio, and he had a load of lovely stories and gifts to bestow upon Shawn Michael, Jack Gist, the listeners and I.

Gomega and him are releasing a new record next week, and recently shared the rad video for the single, "Higher Ground." Kanoa is just a joy to know and love! Very proud of him.

Also, the brilliant and beautiful Em White stopped by our airwaves to share about TEDxMaui 2014, an exciting learning experience on Maui at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Sunday, Sept. 28. If you don't know about TEDxMaui and TEDx in general, you're missing out. Visit http://tedxmaui.com/ for all the details.

Our bon-vi-vant Paul Janes-Brown delivered his "Let's Talk More... " segment and the hilarious and handsome comedian Chino LaForge stopped by to give us the goods on latest of his wild and wonderful work on Maui.

Visit www.mauiweekly.com for the community goods, and thanks Three's Bar & Grill for the gift card giveaway.

And, of course, we served the latest ZEPTEMBER dish and Maui music notes.

Aloha!

It's another lovely day in paradise!

Birthday boy Jack Gist was at the wheel, and brotha Shawn Michael and I chatted with the one and only Murray Thorne on The Weekly Dish airwaves this morning.

Don't miss the fantastic visual and musical experience this weekend at The Mill House Maui as he revives his Pink Floyd presentation with "In the Flesh."

Do NOT miss this show! You have a chance Friday and Saturday.

We gave away some tickets to this trippy and terrific rock exhibition.  Search "In the Flesh" event on FB for more info.

Our groovy good friends, Rama Covarrubias and John Michael Jelliffe of the Freeradicals Projekt, cruised down the hill to hang with us, sharing the scoop on their Valley Isle tour, which kicks off tomorrow with SKULL FEST at Charley's Saloon & Restaurant.

We gave a gift certificate to Charley's, an awesome Pa'ia locale that's been in our small business family for years. We really appreciate all the goodness they're serving up on the North Shore. Thanks to Jonathan Herman, Jade Lauren and the Charley's fam for all the support and great times!

Yum Yum Beast performs tonight. Go give Matt Del Olmo, Justin Morris and the boys some love!

Shawn Michael and I served another delightful edition of The Weekly Dish!

Every Friday morning, you may listen live at 7 a.m. on KAOI 1110Am/96.7Fm, stream at www.kaoi1110.com and listen to show here later.

Today we dished the latest from Maui Weekly, welcomed our good friends Don Lane, Carey Yashon and Bennett Yashon for the Clash of the Titans Toga Party, talked to our bon-vi-vant Paul Janes-Brown, and heard what's up with Workday at the Playground in Giggle Hill from the groovy daddio Travis Rice. He also shared a recent live recording of Kanekoa.

We shared about our wonderful small biz 'ohana, all of which were honored somehow in the recent MTW reader's poll. Mad props to our peeps from Wailuku Coffee Company, Three's Bar and Grill, Charley's Restaurant & Saloon, Ambrosia Maui and Manoli's Pizza Company, plus Stella's got some love.

My man earned top dawg in his craft's category, and my peeps Louis Kanoa Kukaua, Jessica Lewis, Eightoeight Deli, Chisa Dizon, Erin Smith and more got nods. Yeah!

It was also cool for me to earn honorable mentions for radio and bartending in the "best of" issue. Thanks for everyone that voted for me, and believes in my many gigs! LIKE our radio page via www.facebook.com/theweeklydish
